If you are skilled in finance, information technology or healthcare... then 2024 is your year. It is not an astrological forecast, but a genuine analysis based on the demand and supply of the labor market.
" Based on (magazine) Forbes articles and various international forecasts, the most in-demand skills of 2024 continue to be computer skills, artificial intelligence... but with increased focus on interpersonal skills as well as technical skills that have mainly to do with health care ", said Lutjona Lula - Labor market expert.
"Technology, artificial intelligence will always be positions in demand. But I don't think that applies to us. We have other, more urgent problems", declares Emin Shini - Labor market expert.

With an even deeper crisis for human resources, and more limited alternatives, Albania's needs are mainly oriented towards tourism, construction and then information technology.
" Following the trend from 2023, of course a great demand remains for some professions that we call "middle technicians" such as electricians, mechanics or plumbers. Tourism and construction are the two sectors that are suffering and will suffer for labor force ", said Emin Shini - Labor market expert.

The crisis of the last two years in particular has turned the attention of enterprises like never before to employees. But businesses are still not able to attract "Generation Z", young people born in the late 90's.
"Young people of "Generation Z" learn more about the importance of mental well-being, equal treatment at work, feeling motivated to do meaningful tasks. That's why they often have a culture clash ", said Lutjona Lula - Labor market expert
2023 was the third year in a row in Albania where wages increased. On average, a waiter is paid between 800 and 1 thousand euros, a chef up to 1 thousand 200 euros. A construction worker is paid 700 to 900 euros, while the salary of an IT or construction engineer varies from 1,000 to 2,000 euros./ A2CNN
