Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today that the implementation of the 'Fiscal Peace' will begin at the beginning of 2026.
"Fiscal Peace" aims to establish a new relationship between the Government and businesses, while the Head of Government said that there will no longer be businesses that will see inspectors at their doors, but this will be done with artificial intelligence.
Fiscal peace is about an agreement that businesses will sign with the government and that will be based on 3 points:
-Agreed upon profit tax
-Review of financial statements
-Forgiveness of tax liabilities and interest on arrears
Rama also stated that this plan could increase revenues for the state budget, while the goal is to reduce informality in the economy.
"It is very important that the "Fiscal Peace" is drafted and successfully concluded in conceptual terms by the end of this year so that next year we can begin its implementation. I am very confident that if the "Fiscal Peace" is conceived and planned properly, it will be a very positive message for entrepreneurship, but I believe it will also be able to increase revenues for the state budget, while the key point remains the increase in overall performance and the reduction of informality," said Rama.
On the other hand, Malaj stated that this "Fiscal Peace" will ensure sustainable economic development.
"Our goal is clear and ambitious. Through the combination of sound fiscal and monetary policies, deep structural reforms and strategic investments, the Albanian economy will guarantee a new trajectory of sustainable economic development," said Malaj.
"Fiscal Peace" was promised by Prime Minister Edi Rama during the campaign for the May 11 elections, as an attempt to change the level of state administration.
Rama said that this "Fiscal Peace" will bring numerous advantages to the entities, but also to the government. Therefore, the head of government emphasized at the time that there will be no increase in pressure through inspectors, but entrepreneurs can make a self-declaration in advance, 60% in the peak period and 30% in other periods.
