Is Saljani a leader?
Ervin Saljanji's move to the DP has encountered an abrasive atmosphere from a section of the opposition's media supporters attached to the panels. Very strange since Sali Berisha's newest enemy has been spoiled and endlessly lobbed by these characters for years and years, so much so that it can be said without fear that in the sin that cost him a year in prison, Saljanji also has collaborators.
But this matter has passed and been forgotten, as time brings many new things, which were once unimaginable. For example, the effect of time once caused a deficit in hair, and today we have a surplus. Imagine, in the time of Enver, sellers or warehousemen were thrown in prison not for deficit but for surplus.
Today's critics of Saljanj say that he does not have the power of Sali Berisha, he does not have the format of a leader, he does not have the ability to be an opposition leader. If these conclusions are analyzed, reasons can be found, but there is one thing. Which in reality is a fact. Ervin Saljanj is not only the most accepted by the militants of the Democratic Party, but he is also the most uncontested.
Sali Berisha's meeting in Mirdita showed that the grassroots Democrats undoubtedly like the doctor, and have loved him endlessly for 35 years. But today, they see that the doctor is no longer a leader who meets their demands. Because he keeps servile people around, appoints people who the structures do not like as deputies, commands branch heads that the Democrats do not know at all, keeps people on his side that they hate.
And they see Ervin Saljanji as an interlocutor, even accepted by consensus. With whom they are ready to sit, talk, discuss, and think about what they should do.
Is Saljanji a leader? Maybe not today, but the fact is that to this day, Saljanji, Alimehmeti or Aulon Kalaja are among the most voted people by people representing the Democratic Party.
This is a reality that only Sali Berisha and his media entourage do not accept, however it remains a reality. The more it is ignored, the worse it will be for the Democratic Party and the opposition in general.
Ervin Saljanji, for better or worse, has begun to propose a process within the DP. A process that is at least dialectical and in reality is imperative. A process that leads to a political address for a transformation or reformation of the DP. A phrase that Saljanji has uttered, and for this he has been declared an enemy.
In reality, only from Berisha and his entourage, since the democrats, namely the grassroots militants, have welcomed it. This is realpolitik, and here not even the doctor and his people can do anything, because we are at a stage where there is no turning back.
The Democrats love Saljanji more than Berisha, and it's about the Democrats who haven't left. Will Ervin Saljanjit be able to become a leader? In fact, he has time, he has just started his journey.
