Unfortunately, religions have given men the right to decide over women...
During the conversation I had in Korca to promote the novel Jam Musliman, I also spoke about the very masculine character of religions. All religions, but especially Christianity and Islam, have been used by men to subjugate women.
The holy books say that women should cover themselves and lower their gaze to restrain men's lust, while men are not required to do so.
If both sexes are equally exposed to bodily desire, then just as women are covered, men should have been covered as well so as not to arouse women's lust.
Imagine if this religious requirement had become a custom and men lowered their eyes every time they looked at a woman, how much violence, pain, and murder would have been avoided from the history of humanity, filled with so many crimes that men have committed against women.
Unfortunately, religions have given men the right to rule over women.
Both Christianity and Islam have all male prophets and no major prophet is a woman.
These prophets took more than one wife and very often treated them as slaves regardless of their age.
This practice is still followed today in many countries, as is the case in my novel I Am Muslim, which tells how a 70-year-old man married a 12-year-old girl.
The appointment of people who were to regulate the relationship between God and people also proceeded along this male line.
The clergy are all men.
No priest is a woman and no imam is a woman.
How different would the relationship between man and faith be if the Pope were a lady, or if the Bishops were women, or if the call to prayer in mosques were sung by beautiful women's voices.
Religions would be more beautiful and much more peaceful.
Women would have gained more rights centuries ago.
But this did not happen.
Men have held a monopoly on God's work by using God to dominate their family.
This masculine aspect of religions is undoubtedly one of the darkest.
This is enough to understand how religions are oriented by narrow earthly interests and not at all by the interests of the societies in which they were born.
God himself has been portrayed as a misogynist who has given more rights to men than women, and this has unfortunately been accepted by women themselves.
From the first day when he created woman from a rib of man, God decided to side with men.
This is enough to understand that even God himself is a creature of men's imagination.
Men created God, giving him their harsh features and their insensitivity.
Since ancient times, men have been obsessed with sculpting an image of God that has not only masculine features but also a masculine mindset.
God creating a woman from a man's rib actually goes against the laws of nature which have decreed that a man is created, that is, born from a woman.
During the debate in Korca, one of the guests told me that there are saints in the Christian religion.
It's true.
But they only become so after death.
If women do not die, they do not serve the Church as a model.

Sa harxhon oksigjen kot.. pa lidhje.. i deshtuar ne cdo drejtim ne jete.

Ky nuk di ku te kapet. Nuk i jep kush leke. Tani po fillon ideologjine gender dhe po vazhdon teorite fetare. Te jesh 55vjec i falimentuar eshte tragjedi..
