What is happening with the democrats (at least with those who seem to be) will probably constitute in the future, an object of study for the generations that will enter politics. People who support more than democratic ideas, the eternal leader. People who, more than the ideal and the virtues of a much-desired system for nearly 50 years, want the eternal president. In the Democratic Party, the theory that "if you are not with Berisha, you have no place in this party" has become a tradition. The same thing happened and is happening with Lulzim Basha. He also set the condition "you are not with me, you are my enemy" in his grouping. Thus, avash-avash, the party of student ideals, got into trouble, where everyone is tearing everyone apart.
No one understands that both Berisha and Basha must be forgotten. No one is "looking" and realizing that, keeping their "portrait on the wall", the years and decades are passing and the party is turning into private property. No one has understood (and they are not to blame) that in politics, dirty games related to personal interests are played. Getting the seal has already increased the worries of those who hope that "the seal became ours, now we will also take power". To compete with Edi Rama, to stand up to the man who "suffocates" you with work done and work started all over Albania, requires strong willpower. Berisha doesn't have them, because age also takes its toll, and Basha doesn't even think he can come close to Rama's shadow.
In these conditions, where the majority of the membership is becoming aware that "victory is far away", there is an urgent need to remove the Berisha-Basha duo by vote or by other progressive means. But the chances so far are almost zero. One who gets the stamp, and the other who promises that "we will appeal the court's decision", the one who tells the Democrats "come back to your house", but suddenly does not leave because he loses everything, and the other who unfolds the "governing program", being funny. The political scene in Albania is suffering the consequences of 2-3 special names, which are holding hostage the social harmony of Albanians. I never believe that Albanians suffer from a lack of feelings, especially when it comes to politics. The Democratic Party is not the one that gathers every afternoon under Berisha's balcony.
They are the hostages of that party. Just as I never think that Basha can collect "100 thousand votes as a political group" in the elections. The DP membership must be reawakened, reorganized, and must immediately demand the removal of the Berisha-Basha duo. That party was created by the students of December '90, and not by those who are using its emblem and flag, as a shield, against the investigation and judgment by the justice bodies. Forget Berisha and Basha, in case you want to finally form that party, as a worthy political force, which can create the necessary electoral weight in the new elections of 2025. Forget the infamous duo, and you will discover that the party has been a fief of them, so I was afraid and the new generation of politicians did not approach.
