The reason for the rape of journalist Gjergj Zefi is the same. Administrator of a very dignified portal and one of the few who dare to speak and show, Zefi was the victim of an ugly insidious attack. There is no doubt that the attack was a form of warning and punishment for the journalist who refused to remain silent or disinform.
Every time we start to believe that our country is changing for the better, that evil does not dominate every field and every corner, such events happen that make us doubt and see the future with pessimism and without faith.
I'm not referring to the feeling of uncertainty that each of us experiences every time another routine police check results in the arrest of someone walking around with a gun or walking down the street in front of schools with a few dozen ready-to-use doses. These problems are encountered everywhere, although in our country a little more often.
What disappoints and scares the most is the relentless targeting of those who simply dared to do their job. Especially those who wanted to do it well.
A repentant justice, in addition to the monstrous crimes he had committed as a member of a notorious gang, also revealed the persecution that had been done to two prosecutors and their families. According to the testimonies of the penitent, the capobanda, obviously, worried that the files for the trial of the committed murders were not empty, had ordered that the prosecutor of the cases in Lushnje, Selimi, and that of SPAK, Musabelli, should also be followed or one of the family members theirs to be eliminated.
In other words, the prosecutors themselves or one of their loved ones would be the victim of a mafia revenge, but they would also be "convinced" grudgingly not to play with the gang fire.
Fortunately, the murderous plans have not been realized, but both the ladies in question and every law enforcement officer will have thought about how long they will be able to resist.

But although the journalist is fine and swears that he will continue his fight in the service of the truth of this country, undoubtedly "his lesson will become a lesson" for many colleagues. They will restrain themselves and increase self-censorship because free speech has a high price.
On the same line is the rape of a cameraman in the Assembly. The moment he was spotted focusing the objective on the screen of former Prime Minister Berisha's cell phone, the cameraman was hit.
Unlike the threats of the prosecutors, where it was about organized criminals and traffickers, or the abusers of the journalist Zefi, two or three evil hands, the person who hit the cameraman was a deputy.
Despite the fact that the member of parliament in question later apologized, stating that it was a misunderstanding, the action remains disturbing. Not only that our representatives have made it a habit to use the Parliament of Albania as a gladiator arena. To be beaten and slandered between groups and subgroups as a wayfarer. Not even a representative of ours behaves like a fanatical supporter and is ready to punch to protect with the same zeal that protects the boss and his digital citizen.
The worrying thing is that anyone who tries to do his job with seriousness and quality is a potential victim. Anyone who tries to contribute to justice, information and free speech, or in any other sphere, is hit or listed to be hit.
It is worrying that the aggressors of honest work are not just some criminal or destitute elements hiding in the dark. You can also find them in the plenary sessions of the Assembly of Albania.
Above all, it is disturbing that anyone who does the right thing and believes in a better Albania has to live with the spirit of fear and insecurity. Who knows, it may soon be his turn./ DAY
