From protests with citizens to protests with mercenaries

On the streets of Tirana, shops, businesses, garbage cans and institutions are being attacked with Molotov cocktails...

There are two pieces of bad news from the protests. The first is that they failed to transform into citizen protests and remained isolated within the PD militants and those brought by bus to Tirana. And the second is that today the PD officially gave up on citizen protests and moved on to revolts with violent acts through paid mercenaries.

The failure of the opposition protests to become citizen protests and receive massive support from the citizens came because of Sali Berisha. And it will always come from him. The man who keeps the opposition people away from the protests in the name of the opposition is Sali Berisha. He is a symbol of the lack of an opposition alternative and keeps the opposition isolated from Albanian society.

This is the reason why Sali Berisha ordered the transition from citizen protests to protests with mercenaries armed with Molotov cocktails. It is his revenge for the ignorance that Albanian society showed him.

Shops, businesses, garbage cans, and institutions are being attacked with Molotov cocktails on the streets of Tirana. They pose no real danger to them, except for symbolic damage, but they pose a real risk of isolating the opposition from citizens and turning it into an organization that manages hired killers.

And this will have a long-term effect against them.

For a long time, calls for citizen participation in their protests will be met with reluctance to be part of a group of bandits with Molotov cocktails on their backs who burn businesses and institutions with hoods on their heads and disappear into the darkness.

On the other hand, the DP's relations with this criminal group will criminalize its future, as the DP will be forced to be a hostage to these people it uses for criminal acts, attempting to reward them in the future.

This will turn the DP into a Palestinian-type party, where careers and futures will be measured by Molotov cocktails and stones thrown in protests, in a long intifada, even longer than Arafat's.

So the failure to protest and the desperation to burn Tirana with Molotov cocktails are the worst signal for the opposition and the best oxygen they give the government in these difficult times for the government, not because of the opposition, but because of their problems. The government's only stable ally in these times is this alternative of Molotov cocktails and black hoods burning Tirana.

This degradation does not even bring opposition supporters, who are mostly normal, to the streets.

This delegates the opposition's protest to a criminal group, with whom the government pretends to fight, but always wants them on the streets to show them who they are up against: those who can't show their faces or names, but only their Molotov cocktails.
