The first joy is reasonable when it is said that the Secretary of State will not visit Albania, after a news that he would visit. It makes sense to be happy not to have an important "enemy" at your feet.
There are two moments from the Pulpit's reaction to Secretary Blinken's visit that are actually both funny. The first is that indescribable joy when they were told that Secretary Blinken will not visit Albania, after receiving the news from Top Channel that he will visit.
All the arguments why he could not come to Albania were "arranged" there. The point was that if he came, he would legalize the power of Edi Rama, who "Foltorja" will overthrow on February 20, that is, four days after Secretary Blinken left. And there, as if they were in the mind of Secretary Blinken, they had turned their every frustration into an argument of Secretary Blinken, every success of Albania they had turned into a crime, and above all every effort of the US to maintain the alliance with Albania had been translated as an alliance with Edi Rama.
Now that Secretary Blinken officially confirmed the visit, take the writing of the speaker of the Pulpit and remove that phrase "if Blinken visited Tirana" and you understand what an honor they have done to Edi Rama with their hand.
But to the joy that Secretary Blinken will not visit Albania, there is a sense that in the end they are an anti-American party.
The funniest is the second moment after the visit was confirmed. The other spokesmen of the "Foltor" who appear on the screens, are trying to say that Secretary Blinken is coming for the situation in Ukraine, for security in the region, etc. So not for what the "Foltor" spokesperson said before the confirmation.
They look so happy when they say this second, that it fills their minds that they imagine Secretary Blinken, "an international gendarme" who comes here with handcuffs and wants to arrest whoever he finds from the opposition on the streets.
The joy that he does not come for "inside work" is the only pleasure they have invented after the bitterness of confirming the invitation.
Of course Secretary Blinken does not come to the daily political agenda. Maybe I don't even know that Berisha's "Foltorja" held a rally on February 20 that, like all 200 other rallies, will overthrow Edi Rama.
But he comes to an allied country to express the support of the US and for the positions it has taken on security in the region, the conflict in Ukraine and maintaining Albania's western course.

But this second joy, which in a few words is translated as "thanks that does not come for us", goes beyond the limits of being funny. And the tragicomedy is that actually coming for regional security, for the support that Albania has given to the West in regional conflicts, it also comes for "Foltore" which is in line with all the currents that strengthen Russia's presence in the region and the parties that are trying to undermine the standards of democracy in the region.
That only for these people of our "Pulpit" there is no need to come because they no longer need any important enemy to destroy. Their most important enemy is Sali Berisha and he has done his job until the end.
No one would make the opposition in a country so ridiculous, as he did.. And above all, no one would make it so anti-American, so anti-European and so banal. Only he could do it.
But the Secretary of State is not happy about this. He does not intend to destroy the opposition but to strengthen it. For this reason, he got rid of Sali Berisha by declaring him "non grata".
The problem is that a part of the opposition has remained hostage to a man and he has not come to release the hostages.
