Who challenges Edi Rama with the big Zvërnec project?

Today, Edi Rama held his public position regarding Zvërnec, from his chair in the Socialist Party parliamentary group in the Assembly. He could have done it from his office, or from the podcast, or the car or another place as he has often done. But no, he wanted to give a political signal, opening a political battle with those who today opposed him for the Zvërnec project.

In fact, despite the fact that there were other paths, the battle he has been called into is purely political. Since the decision to approve a project that amounts to an amount that 12 years ago was equal to the annual state budget, is a purely political decision.

Deviating to politically defend such a decision, as has happened in the past by many governments in the country, may be a path, but it is a dead end. Everyone is responsible for their own decisions.

This is the first, but it still does not constitute the essence. The main thing is the challenge. Who challenges Edi Rama with the great project of Zvërnec?

Those who want to say stop mega projects from the Persian Gulf; it happened with Alabar, who was challenged from the beginning. A familiar scenario, as has happened in the past when there have been cases, that Albania has managed to move to another level. As is the case of Kakomë, when even though Fatos Nano managed to enter into an agreement with Club Med, a global tourism giant, he could not withstand the pressure of factors against him. Inside and outside his party.

Today, Edi Rama appeared before the parliamentary group, first of all to speak with factors within the SP, who are not absent, but have even appeared, and then to wage a real political battle.

Because in fact, political battles are fought with such issues, not with phantom causes as has happened. A failure to implement such a project can indeed be said rhetorically to be a loss for Albania. But the biggest cost is for the majority, which has received 83 deputies.

It is very likely that this battle, or such battles, will actually require more than that of IBAR or even the EU chapters.

On the other hand, mentioning his fierce critics for years like Fatos Lubonja, Sazan Guri, Arlind Qori, or even Altin Goxhaj and other characters, is really a normal logic. After all, Rama, in a completely inadequate way, had ignored them, while he had to face them, because that's what his voters demanded. Now is the time, and we are likely in a real political battle, which will undoubtedly have its consequences. Of course, it could also be interesting...
