In Latin, it would be called skelerocracy. Serbia lives under such a regime. Better to say, it groans and suffers. It is humiliated. There was authoritarianism here before. Nothing limited the power. But there was never a rule of criminals.
Instead of the state, the institutions, we have a gang of criminals. Convicted lawbreakers, former prisoners, prosecuted criminals who roam the country and do whatever they want. The police listen to them and obey them. Judges and prosecutors also obey them. The just world avoids them. Anyone who annoys them, what they don't like, what they can't stand, is in serious danger. They beat, detain and arrest. They threaten and abuse. They are the informal government, but more realistic. A raging crowd of speechless primitives with decades spent in prison. Or pardoned for criminal offenses as a sign of gratitude for loyalty to the regime.
They are not there out of obedience. Not out of obedience, not because of ideology. They are there because they are paid. Richly rewarded for sowing fear among ordinary citizens, unruly rebels and independent media. For every opponent and critic of the current regime. They are the most vulgar, simplest, most miserable version of the former "Praetorian Guard". As a reminder, the Praetorians were also able to oppose Roman emperors. The example of Caligula in 41 or the Praetorian auction for the imperial throne in 193.
Some of these people are in uniform, some are in civilian clothes. There are those in state bodies, there are those on the streets. They are everywhere. They create a reign of terror and horror. They are patriots and defenders of the nation. They are the naked sword of the regime. They are the hope and support of the regime. They are the essence of the regime. Their commander-in-chief, their only commander, is, unfortunately and shamefully, the president of Serbia himself. Once, in the recent history of mankind, such a ghastly phenomenon already existed. And it was called the "Schutztafel", better known by its abbreviation, SS. It was led by a certain Heinrich Himmler, and the founder and main sponsor, also a certain Adolf Hitler. I think we remember how that historical enterprise ended. What a tragedy it brought to the whole world and what a catastrophe for the German people. A national catastrophe and a criminal record.
Fortunately, this local version of the SS does not threaten Earth, but we are at their mercy. They live on us every day and brutally.
They are not just street people. They are also found in all public services, among so-called business people, in the media, in universities. Some with degrees, fake or real, some with criminal records, longer or shorter. They have three words in common: loyalty, violence, lawlessness. Loyalty is actually a euphemism for idolatry. To whom? To the Supreme Leader, of course.
I see that preparations are also being made to subjugate the army to his authority. That's how it needs it. The army constantly lies and pretends to be dead to all the horrors that are happening in Serbia. It's minding its own business. Well, now they'll have to kiss the supreme leader.
I said it and I repeat it, the rule of criminals.
Today, police chiefs accept presidential dictates on paper and without question. Without resistance, they submit to his arbitrariness, transferring, resigning, or retiring. No objection, no protest, no refusal. There is not even public criticism.
My question is why? Who and on what basis in this country decides who will be weak and who will be strong? Whose word will be ignored and whose will will be respected? Who will rebel and who is free to blackmail, and who is the untouchable and unquestionable ruler?
Who is the power over power in Serbia? Who, from the dark shadow, illuminates and clothes Serbia? He decides our fate, our future, our life and death?
The lesson from the early 2000s has been learned. It won't happen again. The cards have been dealt, the winner is known, the accomplice is known, the protagonists are known. The spectators know each other. The victims are also known. Everyone is assigned a role. Someone assigned them.
The agreement for Serbia was reached. Its direction and path have been determined. The way of governance, the priorities, the history, the consciousness, the value system. A long time ago. It is exactly as it should be. In the interpretation and realization of those who, behind the scenes, tipped their hats.
This in no way excuses the president of Serbia. He is the most responsible, the most guilty for all the evil and injustice in this country. He knows everything, he is the winemaker and the commander. If he is not the author, he is certainly the leader of the gang. If he is not an ideologue, he is an undisputed commander. A convinced fanatic. A zealous member of the party. Submissive and vindictive. Evil and malicious. The ideal candidate. The perfect choice. There is nothing more suitable or useful. That's it.
Will we ever come to our senses as a people and remove the decades-old veil from our eyes? Or are these just empty and empty words of Protić? A malicious person would be talking nonsense./ Adapted from “Pamphlet” by “Danas”

Artikullshkrusi ne gazeten Danas, flet per nje njeri qe vjen nga bandat e Milloshevicit dhe ka vene nen kembet e tij demokracine e shtetit ku ai qeveris. Por nuk eshte vetem ai tip ne Serbi, po jane klonuar e po zhvillohen ne shume shtete te Europes dhe vetem vjedhin, shkaterrojne, shesin e falin per interesa te veta personale pjeset e gjymtuara te shtetit te vet tek. te huajt. Ska rendesi se cfare kombesie a shtetesie ka autori i artikullit, por ai evidenton nje te vertete te hidhur, qe njerzit e pergjumur i mbajne keta tipa ne krye te puneve te shtetit. Prandaj mund te thuhet se progressive ca gjynaheve, Trampi ka te drejte sot. Ne shtratin e Europes kurve plake, po gelojne elemente qe marrim pushtete dhe kopjojne pastaj Adolfet. Po Adolfi vetem shkaterroi me luften, po nuk vodhi kaq shume.
