The rhetoric that continues to come from Serbia and often from Greece proves that some circles have not yet broken away from a mindset of the past and continue to follow an approach that fuels tensions, clashes and threats...
Following the extreme statements of his minister, followed by the support of the Deputy Prime Minister, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has continued with statements of the same threatening spirit.
During the graduation ceremony of new cadets of the Serbian Armed Forces, at a military barracks, Vučić declared that Kosovo is part of Serbia and that it must be defended. According to Vučić, Tirana, Pristina and Zagreb are creating an alliance against Serbia and with this he urged the soldiers to be ready in any situation.
These statements must be given a clear answer: Kosovo has been, is and will be the Albanians', the children of a people as ancient as the world itself! Vučić is trying to incite a nationalist and extreme spirit, using this approach for political interests. But the response to these positions cannot remain only in words, because today more than ever, deeds are needed.
Our task is to work to strengthen national identity, empower Albanians in every field, develop the economy, strengthen security and defense institutions, unite all-Albanian forces and cooperate with allies. Not with words, but with concrete actions. We must not be afraid to openly strengthen security!
Albanians have historically not sought conflicts, but peace, development and the right to live in the lands that God and history have given them! However, the rhetoric that continues to come from Serbia and often from Greece, proves that some circles have not yet broken away from a mindset of the past and continue to follow an approach that fuels tensions, clashes and threats.
The best answer is to move forward, to strengthen ourselves and to build our future with determination. Not with empty declarations, but with work, development, unity and concrete results. We should not be afraid to say that Albanians, together, are stronger!
