Stalinists 2.0

One man abuses the entire state apparatus and commands it, while others admire him, shout and applaud until their palms go numb, and the media they control, which are all five television stations with national coverage, do nothing but praise their idol...

Only in Serbia does the pro-European government spew anti-European and anti-civilizational rhetoric and behavior. This time, the newly appointed Minister of Information Boris Bratina "reflected" on the Stalinist manner of the media.

He told N1 and Nova televisions that they work as "foreign agency outlets" and that the Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty media outlet should be removed, and that they are seeking further changes to the law because those media outlets should not exist.

And while Serbia is fighting to enter the European Union, its ministers are fighting against media outlets that have a critical stance towards what the government is doing and are trying to reduce these media outlets to their size, and are maintaining propaganda media outlets that aim to spread hatred towards anyone who does not think like the regime.

The local prosecutors don't even see the ongoing media campaigns on national television and in the tabloids, which are filled with criminal acts and calls for lynching, one of which killed Oliver Ivanovic. Of course, everyone is waiting for the solution and they will show up to take the body and they will be horrified, but they will do nothing to stop it.

This is why it is important for the authorities to control REM, because then with five television stations with national coverage, they can persecute people who are not to their liking and spread national, religious and racial hatred with complete impunity, despite the Constitution and laws that prohibit all of this.

It is also the best example of the claim that Serbia has become a country of lawlessness, that is, complete state anarchy in which we only have laws because other countries have them.

We do not remember that the Ministry of Information has ever condemned the persecution of journalists, and today it claims to be incompetent against all attacks by state officials on the media and journalists. Quite simply, because it supports them. Of course, not the journalists, but the persecution and attacks. And we see this because they have a prominent role in it.

Such statements by state officials, like that of the Minister of Information, who wanted to ban the media, all in the spirit of the so-called "pro-European agenda of the Government of the Republic of Serbia", only exposed their true, Stalinist face.

And this is clearly a trend across Europe, the rehabilitation/resurrection of ideas that experienced their historical decline, fascism and Stalinism. Only now it's called watered-down authoritarianism.

In short, one man abuses the entire state apparatus and commands it, while others admire him, shout and applaud until their palms go numb, and the media they control, which are all five television stations with national coverage, do nothing but praise their idol.

And not only that, they don't see anything else happening in Serbia. And all this so that it is not seen that the state of Serbia has been legally robbed to the core through manipulated tenders, abusing state institutions, for which they are not accountable to anyone for the spending of money.

During that time, the police and prosecutors are not even allowed to write, corruption prevention agencies and other independent bodies turn a blind eye to the illegalities that rob the state every day.

This is why it is necessary to find the culprit for the overthrow of the state that they have in fact already overthrown. What does not bother them at all is that most of the ministers openly and voluntarily work for another country and the interests of other people, in this case, Russians.

The only thing these people have no resentment towards the European Union for is the money it gives them, namely euros. But with Stalinist rhetoric, it is unlikely that Europe will give them any more money./ Adapted from “Pamphlet” by “Danas”
