The Durrës police have identified the author of an accident that happened on Wednesday on the "Plepa-Kavajë" secondary road, where Leonard Dingo, a lawyer, was killed.
According to the police, the 63-year-old man was hit to death by the 22-year-old Erjon Kacani. After the accident, the young man left the scene and abandoned the vehicle in Kodër Arapaj village.
The vehicle was found and seized by the Police services, but the author of the accident has not been caught yet.
The lawyer's colleagues, in a post on social networks, say that the lawyer Dingo had important issues, so they do not rule out the possibility that the event was not accidental.
"It has been more than 48 hours since an accident with characteristics of a crime occurred in the area of Golem, Durrës, which has not yet been solved. Well-known lawyer Leonard Dingo passed away as a result of an accident that happened near his home on a secondary road around 12:00 on August 20. Knowing the sensitive issues that attorney Dingo was defending, reasonable suspicions lead beyond an ordinary accident. According to confidential sources, until now the car that caused the accident was found abandoned in the area of Shëna Vlashi, the license plate and, consequently, the owner of the car was identified, but what would lead to the disclosure of the accident is still a mystery. A crime has been committed and no one is suspected or detained!" writes Penalist Lawyers.
Officially, sources from the Durrës police state that there is no indication that the accident was intentional.
