The young man who killed the "Eagles" officer Novruz Cenalia continues to be on the run. The state police and RENEA are intensively following the action, as the search has moved to the South and to the border with Greece.
The author is suspected to have left in the direction of Gjirokastra or Tepelena.
Police sources inform that a person similar to the author was seen in Gjirokastër. The police are verifying the information received and have notified the Gjirokastra police.
The Police also raise suspicions that the person may try to cross the border and escape to Greece. Meanwhile, checks continue in the village of Pojan, but also in the stables and tunnels in Tepelena.
More than 10 people were accompanied to be questioned about the event. Among them are the parents of the suspected author, Petrit and Ajete Mernica. The latter was a witness to the crime, as she was in the car with her son when the incident happened.
Ajete Mërnica stated that everything happened very quickly. He saw the boy get out of the car and conflict with the policeman.
There she heard a gunshot, and then her son got into the car and they fled towards the apartment of Ajete Mernica's brother. She testified that her son ran away without telling her where he was going.
In addition, the police have set up roadblocks on the main roads of Fier and Vlora, while searches are being carried out with drones and dogs.
