A serious incident occurred this afternoon, where a 4-year-old child died after being hit by a van on the Klos-Burrel road.
The accident occurred this afternoon, but the minor died a few hours later in hospital. Sources from the Trauma Hospital confirm that the minor was taken with serious injuries to his body and unfortunately did not survive.
"On the Klos-Burrel road, citizen LD, 52 years old, while driving a van, lost control of the vehicle and as a result the vehicle went off the road, hitting a minor citizen, who was transported to the hospital for medical assistance," the police preliminary report on the incident said.
The driver of the van has been taken to the police station for further action, while the investigation team is working to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident.
