Serious accident in Athens, two young people lost their lives; among them an Albanian

A tragic accident was recorded during the early hours of Wednesday morning in the Omonia square of Athens where two young people who were traveling on a motorcycle lost their lives.

The accident happened at 05:05 and there was no traffic in the place where the young people's motorcycle was passing, which allowed them to go faster than the allowed rates in the residential area.

Kristi Manthio and Manolis Sarandis, aged 24 and 25, died as a result of the accident.

The police say that the motorcycle of the two young men lost control and fell, colliding with a "Fiat" car, the driver of which suffered minor injuries.

The two young men were taken to the KAT hospital in Athens but the doctors could not do anything to save them. It is worth noting that the two young men were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
