Footage has been released of the police surrounding Marian Gjoka at the entrance to the town of Rreshen.
The authorities had information that he was transporting mines by remote control, so they moved to arrest him. And so it happened.
As can be seen in these images, Gjoka, who had the mines in his backpack, was moving calmly when two civilian cars approached him from both sides. 5 police officers immediately get out of the vehicle, leaving no chance to escape.
In the press release, Mirdita police said that Gjoka had with him 2 remote control mines, which he had brought from Montenegro, where he was a resident.
After his arrest, his house in Rubik's Ring Neck was also searched. A Kalashnikov and a quantity of combat ammunition were found there.
Police suspect the mines would be used to commit crimes against the person. For this reason, the authorities continue their investigations to identify other persons involved in this criminal activity.
