A serious accident occurred this Friday in Kombinat, where one person lost his life.
A truck has hit a 61-year-old man identified as Ylmi Dedja who was riding a motorcycle. Citizen KA, a police officer, was also injured in the accident and is receiving medical attention in hospital.
The police have escorted the truck driver to the police station for further procedures, while they are working to clarify the causes.
"Around 10:45, on "Llazi Miho" street, the truck driven by citizen G. Gj., about 34 years old, collided with a motorcycle driven by citizen YD, 61 years old, who consequently lost his life.
Citizen KA, a pedestrian (police officer, off-duty), was also injured in the accident, and is receiving medical assistance at the hospital.
Citizen G. Gj. was accompanied to the Police Station for procedural actions. The investigation team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
