A serious accident occurred today on the Rrogozhinë-Lushnje highway, near the village of Konjat.
According to information, three vehicles were involved in a collision as a result of a wrong overtaking maneuver. Two vehicles suffered minor damage from the accident, while another, a "Skoda", ended up crashing into the side metal barrier, on the driver's side.
As a result, the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside the vehicle, necessitating the intervention of the Lushnja firefighters. After arriving at the scene, they were able to extricate him from the vehicle.
The injured man was urgently transported to Lushnja Hospital, where his life is out of danger, although he has suffered several fractures in his body.
Bystanders also came to the rescue, intervening to move the vehicle away from the barrier, contributing to the rescue of the 30-year-old driver.
Meanwhile, the traffic police are at the scene and, after the injured person was taken to the hospital, are continuing procedural actions to document the accident and determine the causes.
