A serious accident occurred this afternoon, around 5:50 PM, on the Elbasan-Librazhd road, near the village of Mengël, in the Labinot-Fushë Administrative Unit.
According to preliminary information, it is learned that a vehicle lost control while driving and left its lane, colliding with the side protective barriers.
It is reported that the collision was so severe that the vehicle suffered extensive damage, being almost completely destroyed in the front and side.
Sources from the scene indicate that the driver of the vehicle is Klement Balla, a resident of the village of Griqan. He was seriously injured and was urgently transported to the hospital and is under the care of doctors. According to preliminary data, his health condition appears serious.
After the accident, the Traffic Police services and the investigation group arrived at the scene, carried out the first procedural actions and launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
It is initially suspected that the accident may have been caused by loss of control of the vehicle, favored by high speed. However, the exact cause will be determined after technical expertise and police investigations.
