A 14-year-old boy has been taken to the Kruja Police Station after attempting to rob a supermarket on the city's pedestrian street. The juvenile is accused of breaking the shop's windows with a hammer to get inside, while the incident was filmed and the footage was published on social media.
During the escort, the police seized the hammer with which the windows of the store were allegedly broken, as well as the clothing that the 14-year-old was wearing at the time of the attempted robbery.
Due to the minor's age, procedural actions are being carried out against him in the presence of his parents, legal counsel and psychologist. The materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
"He attempted to steal by breaking into a market in the city's pedestrian zone. The suspected perpetrator was identified and escorted a few hours after the crime.
The hard object (hammer) with which the 14-year-old broke the subject's windows, and the clothing he was wearing at the time of the crime, were seized.
Immediately after the report of an attempted burglary, in the early hours of this morning, at a market in the city's pedestrian zone (a case also covered on social networks), specialists from the Crime Investigation Section of the Krujë Police Commissariat carried out the necessary investigative and procedural actions to apprehend the perpetrator.
As a result of these actions, the suspected perpetrator of the case, a 14-year-old, was identified and escorted to the premises of the Police Station, a few hours after the crime was committed, with whom procedural actions continue to be carried out, with the assistance of his parents, legal counsel and psychologist.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
