A boy and a girl originally from Albania were arrested in London, convicted of supplying class A drugs. Jurgen Kapica and his girlfriend Vinjola Geca, both 23 years old, appeared before the Court on Friday 26 April, where they were sentenced to three years and four months and two years and six months in prison, respectively.
Kapica and Geca, who live in Redbridge, had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to two charges: supplying cocaine (between 3 July 2023 and 24 January 2024); and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
The court heard that Kapica and Geca had both operated for the 'Sarah Albo' ring, which supplied drugs to Suffolk from a base in the Woodford Green area of east London.
Detectives identified a phone number being used to offer Class A drugs for sale, following the arrest of four drug dealers between July 2023 and January this year.
Their address was identified from the phone number, where after the search, they were both found and arrested. A number of mobile phones, SIM cards, bags of cocaine and cash were also seized.
Analysis of mobile phones and SIM cards seized during this raid proved they were used to communicate with the mobile phones of three drug dealers previously arrested in Bury St Edmunds, directing them where to deliver the cocaine.
Kapica was found to be linked to seven different mobile numbers and controlled the 'Sarah Albo' line through a variety of methods. Geca was his girlfriend and it was revealed that she worked together with Kapica to run the drug line.
