Three Albanian criminals known as associates of the much-wanted Talo Çela have been arrested in Dubai.
Three internationally wanted people have been arrested in Dubai.
According to the police, the three arrested: Ervis Daka, Maksim Koçi and Ado Xhika are involved in serious criminal incidents against the person, and supporters of the much-wanted Talo Çela.
Specifically, Ervis Daka is accused of having informed the citizens who attempted to kill citizen KP about his movements. He has provided the conditions/means for the murder of citizen AS. He has also sheltered, transported and provided the necessary living conditions for the much-wanted citizen Talo Çela.
Maksim Koçi participated in the murders of citizens KK and IA. He provided the conditions/means for the murder of citizens AS and AC alias A. S and helped the much-wanted citizen Talo Çela to hide.
Meanwhile, Ado Xhika is accused of having helped citizen Talo Çela for about 2 years by creating the necessary living conditions. He also accompanied 1 journalist, with the aim of interviewing citizen Talo Çela.
We recall that this week, Florenc Çapja, a high-ranking exponent of crime in Elbasan, sentenced by the Special Court to life imprisonment for two murders, while there are other criminal charges still pending, was also deported from Dubai. He was not extradited but deported.
The Emirates do not have an extradition agreement with Albania. But according to former Justice Minister Eduart Halimi, EUROPOL opened a new office 6 months ago in Dubai and is working together with the Dubai authorities and the countries they are seeking, including Albania, Germany and other countries, thinking and dealing with several other instruments.
After the deportation of Plaurent Dervishaj and Julian Meçaj from the same country in August 2024, it appears that Dubai is no longer the safe haven for Albanian crime bosses.
"State Police/Operation "The Wanted" continues intensively, to capture citizens declared internationally wanted. 3 citizens involved in serious criminal events against the person, and supporters of the much-wanted T. Ç., were captured in Dubai.
As a result of the exchange of information in real time and the constant coordination of operational actions between specialized structures of the State Police and law enforcement agencies in the United Arab Emirates, carried out through Interpol structures, 3 more phases of the operation "The Wanted" were finalized in Dubai. Specifically, the following citizens were captured:
-ED, 38 years old, to whom the Criminal Court of Kosovo, in 2024, has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder", remaining in attempt, "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group. He is accused of:
-informing the citizens who attempted to kill the citizen KP, regarding his movements;
-providing the conditions/means for the murder of the citizen AS;
-housing, transporting and providing the necessary living conditions for the highly sought-after citizen T. Ç.
-MK, 39 years old, to whom the Criminal Court of Kosovo, in 2024, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Premeditated murder", committed for interest and revenge, "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime" and "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group. He is accused of:
- participating in the murders of citizens KK and IA;
- providing the conditions/means for the murder of citizens AS and AC alias AS;
- helping the wanted citizen T. Ç., to hide;
-A. Xh., 40 years old, to whom the Criminal Court of Kosovo, in 2024, has assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Supporting the perpetrator of the crime", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group. He is accused of:
-for about 2 years, having helped citizen T. Ç., by creating the necessary living conditions;
-having accompanied 1 journalist, with the aim of interviewing citizen T. Ç. Interpol Tirana continues to cooperate with its counterparts, with the aim of extraditing these citizens, to Albania", the police announce.
