The police have published the moment when 4 young people set fire to a "Benz" type car in Korça. A little earlier, the Police announced that they were arrested. Meanwhile, 16, 17 and 18-year-old youths also set fire to another car. The grandmother of one of the boys whose car was burned in the early hours of this morning said in a statement to journalists.
"The neighbor alerted us, got up for the child and told us. When you look, quickly said that the fire. Then the son got up, the grandson started running. This one had been chatting with boys, as they do. They had doused everything with gasoline. The neighbor took it on the phone, quickly because the car is on fire" , she said.
The motive? A conflict two weeks ago between young people is suspected.
Police notification of the incident:
They burned 2 vehicles, in the early hours of this morning, the Police identified and escorted the 4 suspected perpetrators of the incident. On 19.03.2024, around 02:00, in neighborhoods no. 4 and 14, Korçë, there was a fire in the vehicles of citizens GC and JG, where as a result of the fire, only material damage was caused. Police services immediately went to the scene, where the suspected perpetrators of the incident were identified from the first investigative actions. Specifically, citizen K. Sh., 18 years old; two 17-year-olds and a 16-year-old, who, in cooperation with each other, allegedly burned the vehicles after a conflict for weak motives, which happened about two weeks ago, with the owners of the GC and JG vehicles. The 4 suspected perpetrators of the incident are accompanied to the police station for further procedural actions.
