The dark past of the 58-year-old is revealed...
A powerful explosion this evening in neighborhood no. 3 of Saranda took the life of 58-year-old Isuf Jacaj, a name well-known to the local police.
According to official sources, the explosives were placed in the Toyota vehicle he owned, which was completely destroyed.
Jacaj has a criminal record dating back to the 1990s, having been involved in several violent incidents in the coastal city. In June 2010, he was injured after a fight with sharp objects; in October 2011, he escaped a gun attack in neighborhood no. 3; while in July 2022, he was again involved in a conflict where he was arrested with a punching bag.
Pamphlet sources confirm that Isuf Jacaj is the father of Klaus Jacaj, 31, currently in prison for “supporting the perpetrator of the crime”, in connection with the July 17, 2025 shooting, when Ramadan Zoto shot in neighborhood no. 4, injuring Gëzim Hajdaraj and Ernest Lama from Kamza. Just four days after this event, on July 21, a person masked with a silicone mask placed explosives in Klaus Jacaj’s car, completely destroying it.
The police are investigating the possibility of direct revenge against the Jacaj family, following the open conflicts of this summer. The investigative team has surrounded the area and is verifying security camera footage to identify the perpetrators.
Isuf Jacaj, who recently worked in the tourism sector transporting tourists by speedboat, is suspected of being hunted down and executed with a remote-controlled explosive.
