The 23-year-old boy from Vlora, Gëzim Sinomataj, an immigrant to Belgium and returned for the end-of-year holidays in his homeland, was executed on the balcony of his home through a well-organized mafia assassination that was allegedly motivated by revenge. The other suspicion is that the crime was committed by contract killers.
The crime happened last night around 10:00 p.m., in the "Hajro Çakërri" neighborhood, Vlorë, in an apartment right in front of the city's central polyclinic.
In still unclear circumstances, Gëzim Sinomataj, 23 years old, a resident of Vlora, was shot with a firearm, who died as a result.
The crime is suspected to have this scheme: the main perpetrator, with a sniper in his hand, was stationed at a building facing the three-story villa where Sinomataj lived, and as soon as the 23-year-old boy went out on the balcony, he opened fire, taking his life.
Immediately after, in coordination with other perpetrators, he drove towards the BMW car and together they left from there going to the neighborhood "24 Maji". There they set fire to the vehicle and then left in another car.
The victim Gëzim Sinomati is the son of Sokol Sinomati, a former member of the Gaxhai gang in 1997 in Vlora.
Also known by the nickname "Buzëderri", Sokol Sinomati is convicted for the murder that happened on January 3, 2000, where during an attempt to execute Sokol Nuho, he mistakenly shot Luigj Xhafa, a bystander.
