A mafia-type execution shocked the coastal city around 22:05 this evening (January 7, 2024) on "Hajro Çakërri" street, near the central polyclinic.
23-year-old Gëzim Sinomati was executed on the balcony of his apartment, on the third floor of a building, where he had gone out to smoke a cigarette. So far, 10 people have been brought to the police to testify.
It is suspected that the murder was carried out by a sniper and for revenge.
Gëzim Sinomati is the son of Sokol Sinomati, known as 'buzederri', former member of the Gaxhai gang in 1997 in Vlora, who was arrested for the murder of a person in 2000. Whereas 2 years ago, on January 3 2022, the uncle of the victim, Bernardo Sinomati, put 150 grams of tritol explosives in the car he had parked in the same neighborhood where his 23-year-old nephew was executed this evening.
One of the tracks of the investigation is revenge, but drug trafficking or conflicts between criminal groups are also suspected.
