An accident occurred this morning on the road axis of the village of Çerenec in Dibra, where a 58-year-old man who was driving a van while drunk lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.
It is reported that, as a result of this accident, five passengers were injured, while four are in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is learned that the driver of the van has been arrested by the police, while after investigations it emerged that the 58-year-old was carrying out the activity of transporting passengers without being equipped with the relevant license.
"The Traffic Police Sector Services arrested citizen FC, 58 years old, resident of the village of Viçisht, in flagrante delicto, for the criminal offenses of "Irregular Driving" and "Hiding Income".
His arrest was made after, yesterday, on the road axis of the village of Çerenec, this citizen, while driving a van type vehicle, while intoxicated, lost control of his vehicle and the vehicle went off the road.
As a result, five passengers were injured, two of whom are in hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.
"During the investigative actions, it turned out that the 58-year-old was carrying out the activity of transporting passengers without being equipped with the relevant license," the police statement said.
