Romanian Daniel Cornea, who according to the Vlora police, is suspected of being the author of the murder of Renato Hoxhaj, appears to have entered Albania on April 21 at 5:44 p.m., about 6 days before the murder of the Vlora resident.
According to OraNews journalist Edison Vatnikaj, it has been determined that the Romanian entered from Greek territory into Albanian territory on foot, through the Qafë Botës Border Crossing Point.
As soon as he entered Albanian territory, the 53-year-old Romanian got into a taxi and asked the driver to take him to Vlora.
According to the taxi driver's statements, Cornea spoke in Greek, telling him that he lives in Athens. During the conversation, Daniel Cornea revealed that he worked as a ship captain and was unmarried.
On the way, the taxi driver did not feel well and said that he would take him to Shijan-Saranda and that another taxi driver would take him to Vlora. He got off in Shijan and the other taxi driver took him to Mavronat.
On the day of the incident at 04.47, Cornea gets out of the Land Rover and, after closing and securing the vehicle doors with the dashboard, begins walking, taking a tour of the entire neighborhood.
The cameras recorded his movement from the "Hajro Cakërri" neighborhood and then to the prosecutor's office, the polyclinic, and finally to the alley where he committed the murder of Renato Hoxhaj.
After firing the gun 4 times, he moved to several neighborhoods closer to the scene of the crime and then went to the Land Rover, which was parked on Isa Boletini Street. This is the moment when the Romanian killer fled.
In the Land Rover, he traveled several city streets to exit the Seaport near the University and then towards the village of Babicë.
The cameras show that the perpetrator headed towards Saranda and at 11:00 AM to a place called "Posta Ksamil".
He parks the Land Rover and takes a bag of clothes out of the car. After 50 minutes, the killer appears, coming on foot to "Qafë Botë". He passes the registration counter, moves on foot towards the territory of the Greek state.
