
A 74-year-old man was stabbed by his 76-year-old brother during a conflict that occurred while the two were working in the field.
A serious incident occurred this evening in the village of Agonas in Kavaja. It is learned that a 76-year-old man stabbed his brother to death.
According to the police report, the two brothers with the initials M. Rr., 76 years old, and E. Rr., 74 years old, were in the field collecting fodder for their livestock, when a conflict is suspected to have started between them.
During the altercation, the 76-year-old is suspected of stabbing his brother. The injured man was transported to the hospital for medical attention, but did not survive his injuries.
The suspected perpetrator has been arrested by the police, while the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
"He injured his brother with a cutting tool, who as a result of the injuries he sustained lost his life on the way to the hospital. The suspected perpetrator is arrested and taken to the police station."
At around 20:30, in the village of Agonas, Kavaja, it is suspected that, while they were in the field collecting food for livestock, citizen M. Rr., 76 years old, attacked his brother, citizen E. Rr., 74 years old, with a cutting tool (knife). He was immediately transported for medical assistance, but died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
Police services have arrested and escorted the suspected perpetrator to the police station for further action.
"The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing investigative actions to clarify the circumstances and fully legal documentation of this event," the police statement said.
