The former head of the Municipality of Durrës, Vangjush Dako, is imprisoned. The Special Prosecutor's Office issued an arrest warrant for Dako and 9 of his former officials, while it is learned that the police have executed several warrants. It is learned that Dako is currently in the Tirana Police, where he has surrendered.
It is known that the police forces have mercy on the apartments of the 10 persons in question, while for 7 of them the court has given security measure "prison arrest", while for 3 others "house arrest". They are accused of abuse of office, corruption and falsification of documents related to construction permits.
It is about a lawsuit filed against Dako after the powerful earthquake in Durrës. A building was severely damaged and the residents filed a lawsuit against it, as the project was for the building to be 10 stories.
