
The Special Court has communicated the security measure of "prison arrest" to 44-year-old Jorgo Leku.
Leku was sentenced to life in prison in absentia by the same court after being accused of murdering father and son in Elbasan, Nezir and Gentjan Beqiri.
The 44-year-old was extradited two days ago from Greece. He is also known as Olsi Leka and Giorgio Lekou was convicted in absentia in April of this year, together with Ardjan Çapjan and Florenc Çapjan.
Initially, the case of the murder of father and son was being investigated by the Prosecution of Elbasan, but then it was transferred to SPAK, since the accused acted as a structured criminal group. After the Court of First Instance gave its decision, the case was appealed to the Appeal.
For this case, the Special Court sentenced Ervis Bardhi's associate of justice to 15 years of imprisonment, who also participated in the crime that happened 11 years ago. Klaidi Dokoli and Etien Çani were sentenced to 25 years in prison.
