A 34-year-old man is under investigation after he hid 17,000 euros in his car in order not to declare it.
The Blues inform that the young man with the initials RM had hidden the money in the suitcase with his personal belongings, where the amount was also found during the police check.

As a result of these checks, thanks to the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies operating at the border, a case of non-declaration of money at the border has been detected.
Hiding in the vehicle, 17,000 euros, for the purpose of not declaring them in accordance with the law, the 34-year-old is being prosecuted. The amount of money is seized.

During the control carried out in this vehicle, in the suitcase with the driver's personal belongings, the Police services found 17,000 euros, undeclared by the RM citizen, in accordance with the laws in force. The amount of money was seized as material evidence.
At the end of the procedural actions for this case, the investigative structures of the DVP Vlorë referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizen of RM, 34 years old, resident in Fier, for the criminal offense of "Failure to declare at the border of money and items with value". The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlorë, for further actions," the police announced.
