"We damaged the tire of the car, we will come and pick it up later", this was the pretext of Agim and Kreshnik Gashi, suspected perpetrators of the murder of Elton alias Elton Javor, when they left the car at the house of their aunt's husband in the village of Dermenas just a few minutes after the serious event of December 7 in the "16 April" neighborhood in Fier.
70-year-old Rexhep Puka told the investigators that at the time the car was left in the yard of his house by his wife's nephews, he knew nothing that they had committed murder. Then, according to him, they left and I don't know where they are. The "Mercedes Benz" car took no more than 7 or 8 minutes from the scene to Dermenas.
According to police sources, her tracking was done through the observation of security cameras, which led the investigators to Puka's house.
The suspicions are that the two Gashi brothers are hiding in the Fier district and are being helped by other family members. Until now, the police, with the help of the National Security Force, have carried out numerous checks in Dermenas, several other villages where family members of the brothers live and in the city of Fier, but without success in finding them.
So far, more than 20 people, mainly family members of both sides, have been accompanied to the police to be questioned about the incident, but they have not provided any help in tracking down the Gashi brothers.
Referring to the TIMS system, they are located within the territory of the country, while the investigators have not yet determined exactly which of them fired a weapon at Javor.
