The police of Kurbini have arrested two citizens and announced the search for two others, as they carried out, in violation of the law, the activity of processing the inerts that were taken after the erosion of the bed of the river Mat.
The two workers, Rexhep Shabani and Albert Dodaj, have been taken into custody, while the administrator of the subject and another employee have been declared wanted.
"As part of the 'Riverside' operation, control was exercised in a subject for the processing of inerts, owned by the citizen BA. From the verifications carried out, it resulted that the activity in this subject was carried out in violation of the law, because in addition to damaging the environment, it was carried out without documentation relevant, as well as the employees were unregistered and the earned income was hidden.
During the controls, the Police services have found and seized as material evidence 12 heavy vehicles (5 trucks, 3 excavators, 2 fatroms and 2 inert processing plants) that served this illegal activity.
Following the procedural actions for this case, 2 employees of the subject, the citizens, were arrested in the act:
R. Sh., 57 years old and AD, 59 years old, both residents of Milot.
Also, the administrator of the entity on whose account the heavy vehicles were working, citizen BA, 58 years old, resident in Milot, as well as an employee of the entity, citizen PT, 60 years old, resident in Krujë, were declared wanted. The work to capture them continues," the official police announcement states.
