The former head of the Cadastre of Gjirokastra, Florian Taçi, remains in prison after the first instance of the judiciary in Gjirokastra has decided that Taçi will serve the days of detention in the High Security Prison in Tepelena.
Today's arrest assessment session lasted an hour and a half, where the prosecutor Gazmend Frêngu listed the legal violations found during the red-handed arrest of Taçi and Alban Memisha, the former cartographer of the Cadastre.
According to the evidence presented by the prosecutor Frêngu, Taçi and Memisha have violated the national Cadastre system by issuing ownership certificates in hundreds of cases for different immovable assets.
After the presentation of the evidence by the prosecutor Frêngu, the lawyers Piro Boboli for Florian Taçin and Arben Pasho for Alban Memisha requested house arrest.
While after the claims of the defense lawyers, the judge Enkelejda Selmanaj withdrew, giving the decision to leave the former head of the Cadastre, Florian Taçi and his associate Alban Memishaj, in prison indefinitely.
Florian Taçi was arrested in February, as a result of the operation between the Tirana and Gjirokastra Police, the Prosecutor's Office and the Gjirokastra Court of Fact.
The accusation against Taçi is for fraud, falsification of documents in cooperation.
