The Tirana police have revealed one of the thefts that happened in the capital, where the safe of a supermarket was robbed, inside which it is reported that there was at least 1.5 million lek.
Services of Police Station No. 4, finalized today (October 24) coded operation "Vault".
The arrested are Rei Sylaj and Artur Pashkaj. The event took place on "Dibra Street".
" The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Police Station No. 4, following the work to combat illegality in the field of property theft, to identify the perpetrators of theft and bring them to legal responsibility, after the report filed by a citizen , that two unidentified citizens had stolen a sum of money from the safe of his business, on Dibra Street, based on the information provided during the operation, they immediately organized the work to identify and catch the perpetrators.
As a result, during the police operation coded "Vault", the two suspected perpetrators, citizens: were identified and arrested.
- RS, 21 years old, resident of Pukë, for the crimes "Theft" with serious consequences, committed in cooperation, and "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", provided by articles 134/3-25 and 278/1 of the Criminal Code;
- AP, 36 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offense "Theft" with serious consequences, committed in collaboration, provided for by Article 134/3-25 of the Criminal Code.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these two citizens, on 21.10.2024, after midnight, have stolen 1,500,000 ALL from the safe of a market on Dibra Street.
Following the actions, during the control in the residence of the RS citizen, the Police services found buried 1 pistol firearm, combed with combat ammunition, which was seized as material evidence, together with a part of the suspected money thefts and clothing used by the perpetrators during the theft.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
