Two people have been arrested by police in Ersekë after they robbed an apartment at gunpoint.
It is learned that two young men, a 22-year-old and a 16-year-old, forced their way into the apartment by breaking the door and then stole various equipment and items.
"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Këlcyrë Police Station, immediately after receiving the report from citizen BM, that on 18.03.2025, unidentified persons had forcibly entered the apartment by breaking the door and had stolen various equipment and items, have organized the work to identify and capture the perpetrator(s).
As a result of the rapid investigative and procedural actions carried out by the Këlcyrë Police Station, in cooperation with the Ersekë Police Commissariat, within the framework of the police operation codenamed "Mazhan", the suspected perpetrators of the theft were identified, captured and arrested, specifically the citizens:
JB, 22 years old, resident of Ersekë and a 16-year-old, resident of Këlcyrë.
During the operation, the Police services have carried out a search in an old building in the village of Mazhan, where they have found and seized 1 semi-automatic firearm, which these citizens had allegedly hidden.
Also, the Police services have seized as material evidence the stolen equipment and tools, which these citizens had sold", the police announce.
