Accident with 4 victims in Fushë-Prezë, concrete mixer driver speaks:

The full dynamics of the accident on the "Vorë-Fushë Krujë" axis, where 4 young people died at midnight on Wednesday (March 19), are revealed.

The vehicle they were traveling in initially overtook 2 trucks moving on the Vorë-Fushë Krujë road and then re-entered their lane, while a few seconds later they collided with the stopped concrete mixer.

The 24-year-old concrete mixer driver, Aleksandër Krrashi, stated that as soon as he entered the main road and left his workplace, his vehicle turned off because, according to him, he had run out of fuel.

He tried to start it twice and then went to a nearby gas station to get diesel and according to him he forgot to turn on the car's ignition. Sources close to the investigation group say that the collision was severe and occurred for two reasons: high speed and lack of visibility, because the vehicle overtook and did not see the stopped concrete mixer.

From preliminary verifications, at the moment of the collision the vehicle was traveling at a speed of around 170 km/h, while during the movement when it overtook it may have been traveling at a speed of around 200 km/h.

According to the dynamics of the event, when he arrived in Rinas, on a flight from Germany, 20-year-old Erild Laçi posted a photo as he got off the plane. His older brother, Enejdi, 25, with their cousin, Andi Laçi, 22, and a friend, Endrikejd Kurti, 24, were on their way to pick him up at the airport.

The driver of the concrete mixer, Aleksandër Krashi, 24 years old, fled the scene, helped by his cousin Valentin Krrashi, 25 years old. One of the reasons why he could not be handed over to the police was the fact that the 24-year-old was driving the concrete mixer without having a license for this category of vehicle.

The police arrested him along with the manager of the concrete production company, Danjel Koxha, 34 years old, who is accused of not having taken measures to equip the concrete mixer with the necessary documentation for circulation and of having illegally employed the concrete mixer driver without a license.

The police also announced a search for the administrator of this firm, a 27-year-old man.
