
A currency exchange point was robbed this morning in the Astir area of Tirana.
An armed man wearing an anti-Covid mask has entered an Exchange taking a significant amount of money.
There were two employees inside the Exchange, who, under the threat of a gun, opened the drawers where they kept the money. According to them, the amount received at this exchange point is about 30 thousand euros.
The author is known to have quickly left the scene after receiving the money. Numerous police forces are present at the scene, while investigations have begun to identify and arrest the perpetrator.
Police notification:
On 24.06.2023, around 08:25, on "Tom Plezha" street in New Ring, an unidentified person, who was carrying a suspected firearm, entered a point for money transfers and exchange currency exchange, took a sum of money and left on a bicycle.
The investigative team is at the scene and is working to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.
The Police Services have set up checkpoints and are combing the area to make it possible to catch the perpetrator.
