The father of Enriko Aliajt, the young Albanian who was shot in the head in Italy, has spoken for the first time after the tragic event to the Italian media. Shpend Aliaj, Enriko's father says that at the moment when the serious incident happened, Enriko was in the apartment with his brother and a friend of theirs. Shpendi says that the black night of June 3, where the 20-year-old lost his life, was completely accidental. He says that the victim's brother, his second son, was playing with a gun and shot Enrico by mistake.
"I don't know exactly what happened to my son, I can only say that the other son was playing with that gun and was accidentally shot" - says Shpend Aliaj, Enriko's father.
The victim's father adds that at the time when the tragedy happened, he was not at home and did not know about the weapon.
"When the tragedy happened, I was not at home and I don't know how that weapon ended up in the hands of my son", he continued.
The serious event happened on the evening of June 3 in the province of Piacenza. It is suspected that his 18-year-old brother shot him accidentally. In the coming days, an autopsy is also expected to be performed on the body of the 20-year-old, in order to reveal more elements about the trajectory of the bullet.
The victim was also involved in sports activities where he appears on social networks playing football and wearing a uniform. Enrico's professor, Sergio Segalini, said that the community of the area was shocked by the event, while the young Albanian was very active in helping anyone who needed help.
Enrico lived with his parents, his 18-year-old brother Elham and his younger sister. In that tragic moment, besides Enrico, there was his brother and a friend.
