The services of the Krujë Police Station, following the nationwide police operation coded "Rule of Law", after the information received that in Nikël, a citizen wanted by the Police, was taking shelter in an environment he had improvised to hide, in his apartment, they immediately organized the work, and exercised control at the given address.
As a result, citizen Ilir Kroje, 52 years old, resident of Nikël, was caught and put in handcuffs.
During the inspection of his apartment, the police found a door with a descending staircase in an underground room under the kitchen furniture, which the 52-year-old detainee used to hide from the police.
The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana has sentenced this citizen to 8 years of imprisonment, for the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants", since in 2020 he cultivated 200 plants in the Nikël Administrative Unit.
Operation "Rule of Law" continues.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office, i.e. the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further actions, the police announced.
