A 37-year-old man has been arrested by Tirana Police in the Kombinat area. 37-year-old Denis Trungu was sentenced to seven years in prison for the criminal offense of "computer fraud".
The court sentenced the young man to seven years in prison after he profited from 15 million new lek through a computer fraud with "war wages" during the COVID-19 pandemic.
He has interfered with the digital service "E-filing" by transferring 36 "war wages" to his account.
"The Special Operations Force services in cooperation with the Cyber Crime Section, as a result of a well-organized operational work within the framework of the "Final" operation in Kombinat, arrested and handcuffed citizen Denis Trungu, 37 years old, resident of Tirana.
The court has sentenced the 37-year-old man to 7 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Computer Fraud" with a final decision.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police said.
