The fugitive from justice, Domenico Milella, has revealed details about the drug trafficking activity carried out by the criminal organization he was part of, with the collaboration of Albanian drug traffickers.
According to the investigative file, Milella has testified that his criminal clan was supplied with cocaine through two channels, from the Netherlands and Albania, which were used to develop narcotics trafficking in the territory of Bari.
The repentant justice official initially revealed that he had contacts with two Albanians. One, known to him as "Aidi", was temporarily based in Rotterdam, while the other, known as "Enrico", who was considered a suspect by the authorities, resided in the city of Bari.
Regarding “Enrico”, Milella explained that he had no previous convictions and at that time was employed in a plumbing firm in Bari, with a man named “Massimo”, also involved in drug trafficking. As he indicated, “Enrico” used a black Renault Clio type car and was around 34-36 years old.
Regarding "Aidi", Milella indicated that he was younger than Enrico, with a strong body and permanently settled in the Netherlands, which meant that they rarely met in Bari.
"A man is in Bari, he works, he is a man of no suspicion. He is a good guy. In my opinion, he is uncondemned. His name was Enrico, now I don't know if it is his real name. I know where he works, he works as a plumber in Madonnella. If I saw him, I would recognize him. He works in a plumbing firm. The one who is in Rotterdam is 'Aidi', the one who was here, Enrico, worked in that firm that he had and another one, called Massimo, who is a partner with them, from Bari. They are the kind of people that no one suspects, this Massimo and Enrico work in a plumbing firm, they are certainly uncondemned", testified Domenico Milella.
Milella provided extensive information about the methods by which the two Albanians supplied cocaine, explaining that the trips were made overland. He indicated that drug orders were made via dedicated, "encrypted" BlackBerry cell phones, which were given to him by the Albanians themselves.
Through these devices, Domenico Milella was able to see the type of drug and choose based on quality and price, which ranged from around 26,000 to 27,000 euros per kilogram.
He explained that after placing the order, the narcotic substance was transported from the Netherlands to Bari, via couriers traveling in special cars, where up to 20 kg maximum were transported each time.
"The first thing they gave us was a phone, before it was a BlackBerry, now it was another one, like an iPhone, to avoid being noticed by the Law Enforcement. This one was encrypted and I had some codes before I used it. They, through this phone, would send them… one was in the Netherlands, for example, and the other was here. The one who was here would say: 'Hold it, this is the phone', send them photos, prices, logos that were on the cocaine, the qualities, and you decide, make the deal with them.
You would contact them, or rather, you would say: "Look, I need 5 more packages, can you bring them quickly?", and he would call and say: "Yes, but it always takes 2-3 days to arrive. The time was 2 days. They unloaded it themselves, because they didn't show you the car, nor the person. The drivers were from Poland, not drivers from the Netherlands, always different. Two, three times they were from Poland, Germans, who didn't even know Italian, they spoke English to the Albanian. Always adapted cars. The maximum load was 20 kilograms. The Albanian would come, we would agree on the money, he would bring it, you would open it, look at it and then pay for it", says Milella.
The Italian justice collaborator has also discovered that the same Albanian citizens had guaranteed supplies of heroin, describing the quality as "Banana", coming from Albania, for DI COSIMO Gianni, as well as for criminal organizations operating in the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce.
Milella also discovered the places where the narcotic substance was hidden, reporting that it was hidden in a secret pit, located in the territory of the Municipality of Mola di Bari. The transport from Albania to Italy, as he has shown, was done by hiding the drugs in the wheelchairs of disabled people traveling by ferry.
While the processing and mixing of the drugs was done in such a way that other quantities were extracted from the amount of pure drugs.
"Their job was heroin, they had it on the ground, coming from Albania, while they didn't have cocaine on the ground, only on order. Their job was heroin. And they worked closely with Gianni DI COSIMO, who was at a high level with heroin in the Madonnella area. He would never tell me, but I knew there was a place somewhere in Mola, that when you made an order he would always say: "It takes 10 minutes, a quarter of an hour at most." They had many routes, even people, always by ferry, sick people in wheelchairs, they would stick it under the wheelchair. 2-3 kilograms under the wheelchair, 2-3 kilograms attached to the body.
Only small packages, but 3-4 kilos would go. 3-4 kilos here, 3-4 there… because cocaine is very expensive for them… heroin… they would then mix it in Bari, so from 3 kilos they would get 12-13 kilos, so they didn't need to take much, it was called "Banana", that very strong heroin.
And when you got that quality, from one kilogram you could get 4 or 5 kilograms, so if they put 3 kilograms of that good stuff under the cart, they already had a value of 15 kilograms, that's it. From 3 kilograms they increase it to 5 and it becomes 15 kilograms. Their work was heroin, they rarely had cocaine on the ground, they didn't sell it without an order. They also gave it to Brindisi, to some people from Brindisi. I know they also went to Lecce, they had some clients from Lecce for heroin, and to Bari", he testifies. /Panorama/
