The Italians shed light on the testimony of Nuredin Dumani...

Nuredin Dumani's testimony was key in the crackdown on Xhevdet Troplini's group today in Durrës. SPAK, Italian and Albanian police carried out perhaps one of the most powerful actions in the coastal city, as this group had total control of drug trafficking.

In the Italian prosecution file, it is stated that Dumani has admitted that he knew Elvis Doçi (Visi i Pojës). The file also provides part of his confession, as Dumani declares that he has known "Visi i Pojës" since he was a child.

" After recognizing him from a photograph, Nuredi Dumani testified that he had known Elvis Doçi for many years, whom he knew only by the name 'Visi i Pojës', due to the close criminal relationship he had previously had with Fatmir Troplini known as "Miri", the son of Xhevdet Troplini (called "Poja" (Elvis' uncle)) and cousin of Elvis Doçi.

Regarding this, he explained, among other things, that in the Albanian criminal environment there was no one other than Elvis Doçi, who was known by the nickname 'Visi i Pojës':

"I identify him very well (...) I know him by the name VISI. I have known him for years, since I was little (...) Visi is a very skilled negotiator (...) for heroin trafficking (...) Then, in 2013, he quit heroin and started with cocaine (...) I have not heard of him for heroin anymore, but I have heard of cocaine. Tons (...) Everyone calls him Visi of Poja (...) Poja is Xhevdet TROPLINI (...) Visi of Poja is the son of Xhevdet TROPLINI's sister named Poja (...) there is no other Visi ," the file states.

A major international anti-drug operation, called "URA", took place today, leading to the arrest of 52 people between Albania and Italy, as well as the seizure of movable and immovable assets worth several million euros.

The operation was carried out with the support of Interpol, the Office of Security Experts in Tirana, the Albanian Police, under the coordination of the Anti-Mafia District Directorate of Bari and SPAK of Tirana.

According to investigations, the Albanian criminal organization operated on a large scale along the Balkan routes, with branches towards Northern Europe and consolidated drug landing sites in Puglia, considered a strategic center for the distribution of narcotics.

Cocaine and other narcotics were transported mainly via sea routes, with the logistical support of operational cells present in Italy, also involved in the management of illicit proceeds through money laundering activities and fictitious ownership of assets.

Part of the Italian file

Regarding the criminal capacity of the group linked to Xhevdet Troplini, called "Poja", Nuredin Dumani indicated that it was a vicious criminal group, among the most powerful operating in Albania, hegemon for several years in international drug and arms trafficking, and capable of operating abroad, thanks to strong branches in Italy and Germany, as well as contacts in Latin America:

"It has entered the trade strongly since 2010 (...) now they control all of Durrës! (...) In Germany, Italy. In Hamburg they have almost conquered the entire city (...) I'm talking about cocaine trafficking (...) in Italy they were able to introduce it into the Calabria area. It came from Colombia."

Dumani:  "I don't know his last name, but I know him by the name VISI. I've known him for years, since I was little, around 16-17 years old."

PM DOCTOR CHIMIENTI:  What do you know about this Visi, what did he do?

Dumani:  “Visi is a very good negotiator.”

PM DOCTOR CHIMIENTI:  Negotiator of what?

Dumani:  "Initially for heroin trafficking."

Officer PG John:  In what year?

Dumani: "We're talking about the years 2010 to 2013, they were the most powerful."

PM DOCTOR CHIMIENTI:  Always for heroin?

Dumani:  “For heroin.”

PM DOCTOR CHIMIENTI:  In which period?

Smoke:  “2010 – 2013.”

MAJG. CEA:  Was he part of a group?

Dumani:  "A very large group. It is Xhevdet TROPLIN's group."

Officer PG DUKA:  Explain the connection he has with Xhevdet.

Dumani:  "Xhevdet TROPLIN's group, in recent years, has become the largest group, at least in the city of Durrës."

Officer PG GJONI:  For what?

Dumani:  "For cocaine and heroin trafficking, then for murder. Not murder for hire."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: So Visi is number 2, Poja is number 1. Then you said that Miri is also part of it.

NUREDIN DUMANI: "Yes. These are the three most important people in the group."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: That there was a group that had weapons.

NUREDIN DUMANI: "In large quantities!"

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: It's a group that was operating... for how long had it been operating?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "It entered the trade strongly from 2010 onwards. I mean they became strong then, because they had worked before."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: They had an area that they controlled?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "Now yes, now they control all of Durrës! Not before."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: How many people were in this group?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "Miri once told me that just for the people who were paid for security, for the neighborhood, for the family, he paid 150 thousand euros every month."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: How many people?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "I can't give an exact number because there were too many! The minimum salary for a person working for security ranged from 500 to 1,000 euros."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: If he paid 150 thousand euros, at least 150 people?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "Yes."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: These were the ones who stayed in Durrës. Were there others outside Durrës?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "Listen, those who were paid were those who were not needed for other things. While those who were outside Durrës were the partners in trade. These increased a lot during the period when the president was a corrupt person. Which was here in Albania and which is still in circulation today."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: And outside Albania, were there other people?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "A lot."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: In Europe?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "In Germany, Italy. In Hamburg they almost took over the entire city, because I had also built my business there. I'm talking about cocaine trafficking. They managed to dominate the market through the low price of cocaine."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: But have they also overthrown the competition by force?

NUREDIN DUMANI: "No, they don't have the strength. No."

Officer PG GJONI: Ask if they have ever used it?

"NUREDIN DUMANI: He didn't use force. He didn't have a chance with me, but I'm saying with others - I've never heard of it. He didn't need force, because he lowered the price and entered the market."

PM DOCTOR CARDINALI: This in Germany and Hamburg. Then you said there were people in Italy too.

NUREDIN DUMANI: Yes, he told me that in Italy there was a possibility of introducing drugs into the Calabria area. It came from Colombia and was unloaded there.
