The State Police conducted a large-scale operation yesterday in the Fushë-Krujë area to capture one of the wanted persons, Ylli Zalla, who is considered highly dangerous.
According to the blue uniforms, a quantity of combat ammunition and 14 incendiary fuses were found in the yard of Ylli Zalla's apartment.
"The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Kruja Police Commissariat, during the search conducted in the apartment of the wanted citizen, YZ, found in the yard, a quantity of combat ammunition and 14 incendiary fuses. The illegal items were seized as material evidence, while the work to capture citizen Y. Z continues," the police statement said.
Ylli Zalla had been wanted since November, suspected of illegal possession of weapons. According to sources, the Police had managed to discover his location in the Zalla area, Fushë-Krujë, where the operation took place, but he was able to escape before the intervention.
Ylli Zalla is not an unknown name to the police. 12 years ago he was arrested for the same criminal offense, manufacturing homemade bombs, and was also involved in the production and sale of drugs. At that time he was suspected of having links with the ISIS group for recruiting Albanians for jihad. Years ago he had also threatened the life of the owner of a cement company in Fushë Krujë.
