The images of the moment from the arrest of Lulzim Berisha are published. The former head of the Durrës gang was caught in Spain, as he looked in the photo, he was dressed in sports and with a much different look than what we have seen.
In 2012, he was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of Durrës for several serious crimes, this sentence was overturned in July 2014 by the Supreme Court. The latter ultimately sentenced him to 25 years in prison, but only two years after this sentence he was released from prison, in December 2016.
Four years after gaining freedom, Lulzim Berisha started another criminal process, where he was again declared wanted by justice. SPAK accuses him of participating in the murder of Klodian Saliu, Vajdin Lame and his friend Artan Arsi, which happened in 2005.
As if these were not enough, in 2021, the Supreme Court overturned the decision to release Lulzim Berisha in 2016 and demanded his return to prison. This request, which is expected to be fulfilled only after the completion of the process of his extradition to Albania, after the arrest.
