An incident occurred in Perugia, Italy, as at least 2 police officers ended up with serious injuries in the hospital, after the violence suffered during the exercise of their duties.
The neighboring country's media reported the event that happened yesterday (August 14), as the protagonist of the unprecedented aggression is suspected to be an Albanian immigrant, who was arrested after having to be sprayed by the police.
It was the agents of the State Police of Perugia who detained the 34-year-old, whose name was not published.
The reason was the refusal of the Albanian to submit to a physical check after the police intervention, because in his pockets it turned out that he was carrying a quantity of narcotics of 21.19 grams of hashish. In an attempt to escape, the aggressor used punches, kicks and strong circumstantial tools, such as boards, to hit the officers in action. As a result, two of them received injuries and were sent to the hospital, writes "perugiatoday" .
The incident began after a report that two men were fighting each other. The ready team went immediately, but according to the citizen who signaled, the 2 men had left towards "Piazza Grimana". One of the suspects was then tracked down near "Corso Garibaldi".
When the officers asked for the identity document, the Albanian, who was obviously under the influence of alcoholic beverages, tried to avoid the control by leaving. As he was being chased by the officers, he picked up a board, hitting one of them hard in the forehead. A violent fight followed with the Albanian, who continued to kick and punch the two officers.
The latter responded with paralyzing spray, bringing him under control. However, from the control inside the bag, the quantity of 21.19 grams of hashish was found, which was suspected to be sold and which was seized as material evidence. The Albanian was subjected to investigations for the charges of "resisting and injuring a public official" and "possession of narcotics" for the purpose of sale.
The two policemen are being treated at the Santa Maria Misericordia hospital in Perugia, after suffering injuries that are classified as recovering in 5 days.
