The dead body of the truck driver Nicolás Matías del Río, who worked in Italy, is found after more than 1 month.
He was found dead yesterday afternoon in a house in Arcidosso, an Italian town in the province of Grosseto, in the Tuscany region.
Investigations continue to determine the circumstances under which the truck driver who lived in the city of Siena died, while it is learned that the local police detained two citizens, a Turk and an Albanian, who are suspected of being perpetrators of the crime.
The body of the 40-year-old man was intensively searched by the authorities since May 22, when he was last seen. According to the Italian newspaper Corriere Fiorentino, Del Río's body was found near a house, where the designer Gucci bags that the Argentine was transporting in his truck at the time of his disappearance were also hidden.
The person, who had Italian citizenship, worked as a truck driver and the vehicle he used to transport the goods was burned in an open area.
Carolina Alegre, wife of Nicolás, in an interview given yesterday evening said she was shocked by the news.
"We don't even know when it happened, or how it happened ," she said.
Regarding the investigation, the wife of Nikolas said that the Italian authorities have the parents of the arrested Albanian as suspects, as the remains of luxury bags, worth about 500 thousand euros, were found in their house.
After the discovery, the police searched the property in the presence of the father of Klodian Gioni, the young Albanian who was detained on Saturday, June 15, at Ciampino airport, while traveling to Tirana, the capital of his country.
Niko Gioni and Zindan, the father of one of the two Turks arrested, Ozkurt Bozkurt, are also being investigated. The other suspect is Emre Kaja, accused of being part of the gang.
