A 20-year-old man tried to rob an Italian tourist at knifepoint. The police have identified and arrested the suspected perpetrator of the crime after the pursuit.
The event happened yesterday evening, in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, as it was announced that the 20-year-old author "ambushed" the tourist who was driving a car.
The local police announced that the arrested person is Amarildo Dani, a resident of Bulqiza and a resident of the neighboring country, Italy.
The investigation group also clarifies the first details of the dynamics of the crime. The author took advantage of the darkness in the neighborhood street and tried to steal the tourist's bag at knifepoint.
The latter was driving his vehicle, but the aggressor could not take it, as the Italian citizen had left with his vehicle immediately. Shortly after the incident, the tourist also reported the incident at the Durrës police station.
"Based on the results of the investigation and the evidence provided, it was possible to identify and arrest the suspected perpetrator, citizen AD, (Amarildo Dani), 20 years old, resident of Bulqiza and resident in Italy", the local police announced.
After the first investigative actions and reasonable suspicions, the criminal file was transferred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further actions.
